The track and wheels are from the Crusader kit, modified with early wheel covers. Just about everything else is sheet plastic or lead sheet.
There is a full interior, including engine, because this was meant for a diorama in which the tank was to be shown broken-down.
The markings are for the British 1st Armoured Division, a unit many people have never heard of because they were decimated the first time they went into combat.
The A13 was the first of the British cruiser tanks equipped with Christie suspension, adopted after British officers saw Soviet BT tanks on exercise. |
